YB Dato’ Ngeh Koo Ham was appointed as a Member of Corporation (MOC) on 20 July 2023.

YB Dato’ Ngeh Koo Ham is a very experienced lawyer. He possesses extensive knowledge and experience in conveyancing, banking and corporate matters. He is also a very experienced litigation lawyer, having handled court martial and public interest cases as well as other civil and criminal litigations. He is the founder and Senior Partner of the legal firm, Messrs. Ngeh & Co.

YB Dato’ Ngeh Koo Ham has vast experience in policy-making at both the Federal and State levels. He was elected as a Member of Parliament for four terms since 2008 and currently serving his fourth term in Beruas constituency. As a Member of Parliament, he has served in various Parliamentary Select Committees including Member of the Select Committee on Major Public Office Appointments from 2019 to 2021, as well as the Select Committee on Fundamental Liberties and Rights under the Constitution in 2021 until 2022. Currently, he is a Member of the Select Committee on Environment, Science and Plantation.

At Perak State level, YB Dato’ Ngeh Koo Ham was an elected Assemblyman for Sitiawan constituency for three consecutive terms from 2004 to 2018. During his tenure, he served as a Senior Executive Councillor of Perak State Government from 2008 until 2009. He was also elected as the Speaker of Perak State Legislative Assembly from 2018 to 2021.

YB Dato’ Ngeh Koo Ham graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) Degree from University of Malaya in 1985 and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1986.
